Ropes & Gray LLP is a global law firm, its clients include corporations and financial institutions, government agencies, universities, and health care organizations. Ropes & Gray regularly commissioned Acuris Studios on various areas of Thought leadership campaigns. The client gave us free rein to define the look and feel of these reports which have evolved slightly over the years.

Design inspiration and brief

The starting point of any campaign is the lead image. The brief here was to combine two sectors in a visually interesting way. The image above shows the development of conceptual lead image ideas set within the cover of the report. The client’s brief also evolved at each stage, with more of a literal interpretation of the final image. This involved taking two different images to combine and colour adjust to the two sectors too.
